چکیده
Abstract Picosecond neodymium-doped yttrium aluminium garnet (Nd-YAG) lasers have emerged as the leading technology for tattoo removal due to their shorter pulse lengths and are considered better than other nanosecond lasers. The aim was study efficacy adverse effects of a picosecond quality-switched (QS) Nd-YAG laser in case series 15 Asian patients removal. Fifteen with black- blue-coloured tattoos were recruited All treated 1064-picosecond QS laser. A single session one pass performed using spot size 4 mm, fluence 0.5–1 J cm–2 frequency 6–10 Hz. parameters adjusted based on type patient’s skin type. Patients at 4–6-weekly intervals. clearance pigmentation local reactions evaluated clinical photographs dermoscopy, done each sitting. At end, both physician assessed tattoo. For patient assessment, visual analogue scale (VAS) used. To assess treatment by physician, rate scored 5-point (0–4) (4: ≥ 70% removal, excellent improvement; 3: 50% < 70%, marked 2: 30% 50%, moderate 1: 10% 30%, mild improvement 0: 10%, no effect). asked satisfaction (0 = dissatisfactory, 10 satisfactory) pain pain, worst pain) VAS. Background: Previously described methods for removal of tattoos are chemical, mechanical, surgical, termal and laser assited methods. Invention of the Q-switch mode, advanced the laser method, to be one of the most effective methods of tattoo removal. Objective: Comparing the tattoo removal and rate of lymphatic elimination of 3 different wavelengths of Q-switched Nd-YAG laser (532nm, 1064nm, c...

A prospective controlled randomized trial was performed in order to assess the effectiveness and safety of photodynamic therapy versus laser resection in 31 patients with partial or complete tracheobronchial obstruction due to inoperable non-small cell lung cancer. Fourteen patients received dihaematoporphyrin ether and argon dye laser photoradiation, and 17 patients received Nd-YAG laser resec...
